sol farms
The farm aims to be an extra oil for the ministry. For now it augments the support SOL partners provide to run the tuition free boarding school at Ishoko.
The farm started in the year 2019 and had since produced Cassava, yam, maize, plantains melon, and vegetables. Getting staff labourers has been quite difficult, so the labour on the farm are sourced casually by paying men for each work done. As earlier mentioned, the produce from the farm has been used mainly to feed the children in the boarding house.
At present the farm is looking at expansion into:
– Oil palm plantation
– Animal husbandry.
