Joseph Ayodele Babalola was a Nigerian revivalist, faith healer, and founder of the Christ Apostolic Church. He was born on April 25, 1904, in Odode, Nigeria, and was raised in a devout Christian home.

 

From a young age, Babalola felt a calling to preach the gospel and serve God, and he began to travel and preach throughout Nigeria, drawing large crowds of people to hear his message. He became known for his powerful preaching style and his ability to perform miracles, including healings and deliverances.

 

In the early 1930s, Babalola had a series of visions and supernatural experiences that led him to found the Christ Apostolic Church. This new church emphasized the power of the Holy Spirit and the importance of a personal relationship with God.
