oyegunle mission field

Oyegunle mission field is currently the farthest of our mission field in Nigeria. Our Oyegunle work currently comprises of eleven villages ;  Onidundun, Oluwo – Soge,  Odofinijeja, Asagbe, Eleyele, Ijomu, Bamoku, Orile, Odofini-Igbore, Abule Balogun, and Akogun (not to be mistaken for our Akogun mission field).

The people who live in these villages are majorly idol worshipers, moslems, and a few, adherents of a syncretic form of Christianity. There is also a large population of persons from Benin republic in these parts.

SOL began work in these part in 2019 with two of our Missionaries stationed in Onidundun. After about two years of labour we decided to move our focus to Oyegunle, a much smaller village uphill in the forest. Within a year, God has blessed our efforts, and we now have persons coming from seven of the eleven villages –  Bamoku, Ijomu, Oluwo , Eleyele , Asegbe, and Onidudun ( where it seemed we laboured fruitlessly).

The work here is currently under the leadership of Missionary Love Ayokhai, with SOL  Evangelist, Adebayo Adelokiki supervising.

A church on a hill. A miracle building from start to finish. Partners joined in after they saw the resourcefulness of the converts to have a worship place of their own. Pastor (Mrs) Margaret Nwakanma , Chairperson of SOL board of trustees prayed over the land  and laid the first blocks when the land was bought ( you can click on one of the pictures to open the image gallery for better viewing experience).
