ishoko mission field
A story of grace, faith and utmost dependence on God
When the time is right, coincidences become God-incidences. So was the case six years ago when Springs of Life Global Evangelistic Ministry ( SOL) moved to extend her tentacles and break new frontiers. Ishoko was not the destination, a neighbouring village was. But as it’s usually the custom to extend to other nearby villages for outreach, Ishoko was located. It turned out that it was too far from the location but God was in it every step of the way.
Today Ishoko village sits as the apostolic center of the largest mission field (for now) in SOL as it comprises of several villages where; Otunba, Okunbonu, Ateko, Ijemo yaro, Ijemo Olubi, Boto, Eriki-nla, Elepo, Awonke, Akeju, Soseri, Orogbo, Oba, Aderelu, and of course Ishoko village.
SOL has churches planted in Ishoko, Eriki-nla, Oba, and a Beninese church in Aderelu. It has discipleship centers in Akeju, Awonke, Otunba and Orogbo villages. SOL also runs a free tuition and boarding school.
For effective management, Ishoko field is currently divided into three sub-fields; Ishoko, Eriki-nla and Oba, and is led by a field coordinator and assisted by an assistant field coordinator.
